Travelling to the Hungaroring from Budapest
Discussion
We're off to Hungary tomorrow for the F1 weekend and I just wondered if anyone had any tips on travelling in to the circuit. Three of us are staying in an apartment in Budapest and I'm looking for the most sensible way to travel in and out each day. Preferably with the minimum of expense and trouble. It looks like it's going to be hot so we'll be lugging backpacks with water etc.
Thanks in advance!

Thanks, we'll be heading in all four days (including the pit walk on Thursday) so although the taxi looks easiest, it'll be about £300 there and back which is a bit steep.
It looks like the train/buses drop you a 30-40 minute walk from the circuit as well which doesn't seem ideal if that's actually the case. Has anyone used them to get there previously that can confirm?
Thanks,

I've been to the F1 3 times. I always do the following
Taxi to the circuit. It's really quick and they have their own "Bernie Road" short cut to the main gate. Fixed price.
Coming back, the taxi rank is mayhem. I stay at the circuit for around an hour after the race having a final beer, then walk down the hill and get the free buses back into the city. They drop you off at a metro station, so easy to get back to anywhere in the city.
Enjoy the race! Make sure you are prepared for the heat. Plus there is little shade at the circuit.
