I maybe wrong but it seems to me the keystone to this years driver's market is Verstappen. Once his seat is secured (and announced) then others will start to fall into position.

Was there something wrong with the existing 2018 Silly Season thread? https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&...

^^^ Oooops. I missed that.

I've changed the poll title to make this just comments about where Max might end up.

No way are Red Bull going to release Verstappen without "Significant" buyout.

I don't see Ferrari paying 10's of millions at this stage to buy him...

Also Jos confirmed to Ted that he will be at Red Bull next year.

There you go.

I did have to remove Torro Rosso as an option. But I think that's as likely as him racing MX5s.

Ferrari seem to be showing some interest in him, also consider Marchione's negative comments on Kimi, seems something is afoot at Fezza.

Ferrari will replace KImi for 2018. That is a given.

I just can't see Verstappen moving to Ferrari. He will be at Red Bull in 2018.

The issue with Ferrari and Mercedes is the number one drivers.

Both "whatever they state" will not want a teammate coming into the team who can give them a big issue.

Personally if I was Ferrari or Mercedes and Verstappen was interested in a move I would sign him without any hesitation.

If Vettel or Hamilton liked it or not. Verstappen is the future.

I'm inclined to think Ferrari have this in mind, sign Max and fk what SV thinks. Max seems disillusioned with current RB reliability and although he may be committed for 2018 will want to line-up something "better" beyond that.
