Silverstone tickets
Discussion
Hi everybody Im after 2 tickets for the Sunday and just wondering if anybody has any spare or will have closer to the time ,know they are still available but it's a late decision surprise treat for my 12 year old piston head karter daughter for brilliant school work this year!,And can't realistically stretch to the £300 they want for tickets then accommodation and fuel on top probably around the £500 mark for one day out. Willing to pay reasonable price if anybody can't make it has some spare etc.
Thanks Tony

I know they cost a lot but you really are better off getting grandstand seats mate. I've been there in the mad crush for autographs and stuff, it's crazy. I've done general admission once, you go, your spot is gone dude.
Just dig deep dude and get grandstand seats, they are always yours and no one is that rude to say otherwise. I've done British gp, monza, spa, turkey, Abu Dhabi .... next year Texas. Grandstand always with a seat number.
Just pay man, its worth it

Have you considered making a weekend of it and going to Spa instead?
GA tickets are 145 EUR for adults, but only 25 EUR for kids aged 15 or under, and you don't need to get there stupidly early to get a decent view.
Even with travel and accommodation, I can't see it costing as much as Silverstone and would be much more of an "event".

And it's a million times better.
Did Silverstone three times - each time getting gradually better tickets.
GA is useless unless your happy to get in there at 6am and not move or walk around all day peering over others shoulders.
Grandstand a little better but Silverstone isn't great for spectators.
Spa is fantastic and costs little more including travel.
Monza although not as easy to spectate as Spa it's still miles better than Silverstone.
The prices Silverstone are trying to charge are absolutely ridiculous.

Agree. I haven't been to Silverstone for years. The grandstands are too far away from the track and the ticket prices are a complete rip-off.
You can get an actual seat in front of a giant screen on the pit exit at Monza for less than the cost of Silverstone GA. I'd have recommended it to the OP, but kids' prices only go up to 11 years at Monza.

Err....you do since Max got himself a good drive, last year it was rammed with Dutch fans, we got to the Les Combes entrance at 6.30 on race day and there were thousands already queueing outside.GA tickets are 145 EUR for adults, but only 25 EUR for kids aged 15 or under, and you don't need to get there stupidly early to get a decent view.

Cost wise (£150 for camping, a similar amount on Le Shuttle and fuel from Calais to Spa and back), Silverstone will work out cheaper. Having said all that we're going to Spa again this year.
If you want cheap grandstand tickets, Hungary is the place to go.
