Good spot; fixed now. I'm never making another one of these; what a PITA they are to do!!
Nice to see new OPs! Interesting to note that Ferrari were only two tenths off Merc in qualifying trim last year. Merc had superior race pace but Vettel managed to give Merc something to think about during the race. Who remembers this?
Reckon this could be a straight fight between Merc and Ferrari. Very keen to see how Bottas gets on here, fairly low deg circuit, but I'm not expecting Merc to have problems with dialling the car in as there's lots of medium speed corners, and a couple of low speed ones.
I think it could be a good outing for McLaren seeing their performance in Monaco and they've generally been quite good in the medium speed stuff...if and that's a very big if, they don't lose too much performance on the straights.
Following on from this, it could be a good outing for RB too, although I'd expect Williams to be up there. Stroll to overcook it in front of the home crowd into the Wall? For Williams' sake, I hope he finds something within himself to perform better.
As long as they run at least 2 out of the 3 options it doesn't matter? I think...
Can't wait to get there; going to miss most of Friday unfortunately but it was all very last minute. The Montreal circuit has always looked amazing on TV; and it looks like it's going to be a decent weekend weather wise (although rain is always welcome at this race!).

I know a couple of people who have been at different times and both said it was great because the whole city lives and breathes the event and that the island is a village in permanent party mode. Can't wait to get there; going to miss most of Friday unfortunately but it was all very last minute. From what they have said, I am certain that you will enjoy it.
Have a great time.

Are we looking at a one stop race this weekend?
The forecast for Friday practise is rain. That'll mean that they teams have to rely on their models for the strategy. It's likely that everyone who can, will run the ultra as long as they can then their one other tyre. Montreal is all straights and hairpins.

Which tyre choice is the mandatory one to run during the race?
Last year the Soft was the mandatory one which pushed the strategy firmly in the 1-stop direction, but this year I think it's a choice between super soft and soft. Seeing the durability of the 2017 tyres, it will probably be a 1-stop with US/SS.Even with last year's tyres the front runners were pushing in the 1st stint and that did see some tyre drop off, so the degradation will be there if pushed--we can be certain that they will push hard in the 1st stint, as it has become a pattern in 2017 so far.
The levels of degradation different teams/drivers see in the 1st stint will then determine if a one or two stop will be the viable strategy. Depending on the pace, maybe an ultra soft with an early stop to Softs and run to the end. Or mirroring Ferrari's last year's strategy, Ultra soft/Ultra soft/Super soft. Or maybe Ultra soft, with an early switch to Super soft with the aim to have a short sprint on the ultra soft in the end to have a bigger pace advantage over 1-stoppers running on old softs/super softs.
Just throwing it out there, not knowing what the computers will predict at the end of FP3 for the teams.

Rain on Sunday too if I'm reading the weather link correctly. Shame as I was looking forward to another straight fight between Ham & Vettel. Could have saved the rain for Silverstone next month. Groan ...moan...grumble...
As long as it doesn't rain at Austin, I'm happy! The rain will make it more exciting If it's dry can we expect Hamilton to be all at sea again due to the low abrasion tarmac? I've always thought of Canada as a Hamilton circuit but if his tyre struggles continue...
The Mercedes could be the better car in the wet, it remains to be seen.
Will the energy drink cars be able to keep Massa and the Force Indias behind?
