Ferrari are already using-up PU components. That will ruin their chances as the season progresses.
They also have a propensity to screw things up.
If they cannot get pole, they cannot win races like Monaco. If Mercedes have more power, they cannot be passed at places like Monza, Canada and Spa. Red Bull will probably improve and come into play.
But hopefully, the battle will continue well into the season.

Right, who was it that voted Max, show yourself now!
I'm going to say Hamilton, but then I said that last year too and look how it turned out. I hope for lots of hard fought (and won) races. But it looks already like reliability is going to play a part in this wdc.
Mercedes still hold a power advantage but Ferrari have a fantastic car that can go some way to make up the deficit...If Ferrari do manage a pole this year, boy that driver will have earned it.

Ferrari will snatch defeat from the jaws of victory, following their usual internal political meltdown, leaving Hamilton to pick up the pieces
Got that the wrong way round I think. McLaren managed to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory for Hamilton in 2007 when they told him to stay out for too long in China. Ferrari (Kimi) lucked into the WDC because of that.Gassing Station | Formula 1 | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
