So from rumours manor will yet again struggle to make the 2017 season.

Interestingly race engineering have now confirmed both 2017 gp2 drivers meaning Jordan king is without a seat.

Odds on him taking a seat at his dad's team?

Who else is in the running? I think this is why need tried to place wehrlein at sauber, despite their performance they will actually be there.

Does his Dad own a team? In which formula?

There are some interesting rumours about the future ownership of Manor though and I've also heard Toro Rosso mentioned in the same breath too. None of them involves a Brit though, either as owner or driver.

My boob....I thought his dad was part of the manor rescue team but seems not part of the team any more.

I'm not sure what his dad is doing, nor whether he has the funds required to buy Manor.

I thought Graeme Lowdon was looking to buy back Manor with some outside investment.

Whilst the ownership of the team is being sorted out, they'll be no confirmation of drivers

That's what I've read.

No idea of ownership, but they will still be at the back I expect so does it really matter anyway?

Jaguar were at the back once, became RBR, won 4 championships.

So all Manor need to move up the grid is to attract a billionaire team owner and get Adrian Newey on the payroll.

Well, it's an opportunity like any other. Vision, good engineering and deep pockets

Yup. Bearing in mind that Honda and Toyota both spent more than RBR and came away with sod all, it's a balance. It's not just money (although obviously it takes truckloads of that)

Well - presumably he will replace Nasr - so where will Sauber get the replacement for the Banco Do Brasi money?
I'm not sure I saw much between the two teams in 2016 - I wonder whats prompted him to jump ship?

Bit of an odd place to put a Mercedes backed driver. He cant even tell them anything of use about the 2017 Ferrari powertrain as its going to use the 2016 Ferrari unit.

Unless he's no longer a "Mercedes" driver?

I can imagine he is a bit pissed off that after the seat merry go round he ended up still at the absolute back of the grid. He possibly signed-on for the Manor gig on the understanding that when a Merc seat became free it was his. Well it did and it went to someone from outside the Merc family. I imagine he also argued hard to get the vacant Williams seat only for them to drag someone out of retirement to fill it. Then he looks across the paddock and sees Red Bull promoting their junior drivers to premium seats and their "development" team still having a solid mid-field package and probably thinking there is no real reason to stay with Mercedes, he has to work his way up on his own, and Sauber was his only option to at least try something different.

Wehrlein is a Mercedes driver. They've bought him the Sauber drive.

Does that suggest Manor is dead?
