Tell me this isn't true ! Pastor to return?
Discussion
Venezuela was crushed by the oil prices race to the bottom but I believe enjoys a favourable position with the OPEC production cap? Hence Maldonado's backing has returned just as fast as it dried up.
If Bernie wants better market proliferation in South America he could do worse than to get Pastor into a Sauber or something. Who knows, maybe this'd be the first step towards a Venezuelan Grand Prix?
I'd like to think it won't happen, but if having Pastor back brings some commercial benefit you can bet your life Bernie is on the phone trying to orchestrate his return...

Wasn't that the year they mixed up the tyres to spice things up?
7 different winners in the first 7 races?
Don't think so. Pirelli were making their usual marshmallow tyres and marbles were a particular problem. Wasn't 7 winners in the first 7 races 2013?7 different winners in the first 7 races?
ETA: I take it back tight fart, you were right- 2012.

He won a Grand Prix and deserves credit for doing so .Plenty of Williams drivers never managed to do that. Love to see him back- every panto needs a villain or two. If there was a Spirit of the Monza Gorilla award he'd win it .(The gorilla of course being Vittorio Brambilla , noted for wild driving but who also won a GP. Sadly - but with huge style - he crashed after taking the chequered flag whilst waving to his adoring public at Osterreichring )
