Hi,
I'm repainting a Locost kit car, and am liking the yellow on the Renault F1 car. Does anyone know if it's a standard factory colour that just been made matte, or is it a colour specific to the F1 car?
Thanks in advance

Looks like a Matt Liquid Yellow, a matt lacquer over the normal colour should do it surely?

It'll be specific to the F1 car I would've thought because they use extremely thin specialised paint don't they?

Or do they just not do many layers at all to keep it thin?

It's a shame it's a ste car because it's a good livery.

It'll be special paint, so you won't get an exact match. However to my eyes, it looks slightly closer to Ferrari Giallo Triplo Strato than Renault Liquid Yellow. Not much in it though and it's probably the TV effect.

If you go to Spa and have a dig around at the top of Eau Rouge you should be able to find a sample! Joking aside, how authentic is the colour on officially licensed models? If it's accurate you could get a yellow mixed to match.
