Seems to imply Hamilton has no "turned up to the max" advantage despite having an extra engine.

I suspect the next few races will determine the course of the championship and it may all be moot by Suzuka.

What a shame it would be if this championship was decided on who can use the latest best spec engine. What Toto goes on to say about one season going for you and the next against is rubbish in this context. Hamilton has already fought back from adversity with difficult starts in 2 seasons now, through no fault of his. To potentially have that taken away at the end of this season through some engine regs will just spoil the racing if it happens.
If it does imagine all the conspiracy theories circling again.

So what if he might get the latest spec look at ricciardo and Max with the redbull they sometimes fight despite been a lot of power Down, I can't see Rosberg making enough extra power for it to be a major advantage

I don't get it confused

Nico needs a new engine so takes a 10 place grid penalty to get the new super dooper spec mercedes +100bhp engine.

Shirley Lewis would just do the same, take the 10 place grid penalty to get the same spec engine if it was so much better, thus no one gains an advantage rotate

No I think nico can have one more engine before a penalty, which if an upgrade comes in time, could see him having a more powerful engine, possibly for the last 4-5 races. that's how I read it

Yes, exactly, Nico is only on his fourth unit. If he can make it last until Japan he can have the upgraded engine as his fifth and final unit for the year. This does, of course, mean he will be stretching his current engine more than Hamilton. I don't know if we have any way to know exactly which engine they use for any given race (i.e. the one he uses at Monza may not actually be the same one he used at Spa), however, we do know that the engine in use at Monza won't be new. Similarly for the hot-and-high races, Rosberg will have to use an old engine while Hamilton may be able to preserve one of his "new" ones.

But this goes against the ruling that every team must use the same spec PU, clearly doesn't work when every one is on a different cycle
