By and large I agree with this, but even though I'm not a fan and we know he can't overtake I do feel this is a bit harsh on Rosberg.

I doubt very much Rosberg will care.
The pole asks who is the best driver, by and large people will vote for who they like so its outcome has no relevance or meaning.

Such things are fluff. Best is a nonsensical word if left without further modification.

Who is the most exciting driver might give a similar response. Who gets the best out of their car? Who has most natural ability? Who has the most victories when the odds were against him? Who is the most robust? If you were a driver in a car that was coming to the end of their life, who would you not want coming up behind you in a similarly shod car with, perhaps, just three laps to go?

All more sensible questions.

Or who has really stuck it to his teammate?

What does the media do when F1 is off air for a few weeks?

Set up silly polls.

What do fans do? Read them and comment on the threads about the silly polls.

Still ages to go 'til the next race.

No - true fans ignore the polls.

But point out their absurdity and pointlessness.

Just because someone makes a comment about something doesn't mean they agree with it. In fact, on PH, it absolutely means they DON'#T agree with it.

Obviously a popularity contest, but I get why its an interesting question. For instance in a race situation I rate Hamilton above Rosberg because I think Rosberg capitulates too easily sometimes. It's objectively impossible though. Who is the fastest in isolation isn't the same as who is the best racing driver. The person who sets the fastest lap on a clear track may not be able to complete a back-of-pack win because they can't overtake as well even if all cars were identical. Do you give everyone three laps or 300. Does one penalise those slow to adapt to a car, the other the unfit drivers who have bags of talent?

Anyway, obviously the answers is either me (though through a series of action out of my control I never made it to the grid), or Button, because I like him most.
