Simplify the aero and that's almost a good looking F1 car again.

The BBC reported..

"As part of the attempt to simulate 2017 aerodynamic loads, the car they are driving is fitted with side 'skirts', which seal the gap between the floor and the track and increase downforce."

Wider tyres, wider and lower spoilers, and downforce on a par with the age of the sideskirt. Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the 80's! All they need to do now is get rid of those silly buttons on the steering wheel and put back the gearlevers. Job done; proper motor racing.

They will also need to install a loudspeaker to give people the "soul stirring"/"highly annoying" wail of a V12.

Ironically, I suspect it will need to be louder than the original cars from the 1990s (the 1980s cars being the same 1.5 litre turbos we have now). Because all the people who still talk nostalgically about the V12 days are old and deaf tongue out

He'll ruin his wheel bearings.

biggrin

Looks the business, definitely. Hopefully the tyre construction will be a bit happier with sideways stuff too, which is a big bonus.
