Im hoping someone can answer or at least point me in the right direction.

Im trying to arrange for a group of us to watch the Silverstone F1 this year, we want to attend Saturday and Sunday and get a minibus to take us there and maybe go go-karting after.

Planning the weekend is difficult as i cannot find the times for the F1, I need to know what time we should arrive on both days and what is a likely time we can get out on both days.

Does anyone know the answer? Im sure it will be on the tickets when i book, but i wish to know before hand in order to plan the rest of the weekend around it.

They used to publish the circuit opening times in the FAQ, but there is nothing there of use yet. If I remember correctly the gates open at around 7am each day.

The actual F1 event times are 1pm for both Quali (Saturday) and Race (Sunday), although you will want to aim to arrive significantly before that to make sure you get in on time (and much, much earlier still if you have General Admission and want a decent spot).

Quali will finish at around 2pm, the race will finish around 2:45pm. How quickly you get out is down to you, Saturday is more relaxed as there are supporting championships after Quali, so not everyone is in a rush to leave. On Sunday it's pretty manic, having said that the last few years we left after the podium and managed to be clear of any F1 traffic and well on our way home towards the South West by 3:30pm quite comfortably.
