Was looking for some decent value and found this on Skybet: Hamilton to win the championship, McLaren to not score a podium and Sauber to not score any points. 80/1! Sauber were awful last year. The Honda is apparently more powerful this year but still unreliable and surely Hamilton will win again? I'd put a couple of quid on but Sauber would score points in Australia just to spite me.

Sauber not to score a single point all year is what makes that 80/1 rather than 20! Still what's a couple of quid? More chance of that coming in than wasting it on a lotto ticket.

Any odds on the number of engines mclaren will blow up this year?

Not that I've seen but Skybet will allow you to request a price via Twitter.

If you've had a great idea for a bet or can't find odds for a selection on out(sic) site, get in touch via twitter. Just tweet @skybet and #RequestABet with the details of the bet and someone will get back to you.

I can ask if you don't have Twitter?

I asked for odds for McLaren to use more than 20 engines all season.

Sauber would be your achillies heel there. Hamilton - championship - yeah fine, Mclaren on even the most promising form are unlikely to beat MB, RBR or Ferrari but for Sauber not to score a single point? thats a leap

I think 8/1 on the championship to finish 1) Vettel, 2) Hamilton 3) Rosberg is interesting.

How much will Ferrari have closed the gap over winter?

More importantly, with Nico back on form, could him and Lewis potentially keep taking points off each other and give Vettel a chance?

I wouldn't say it's likely, but it's certainly not beyond the realms of possibility.

Interestingly, McLaren are 4th favourites to win the constructors championship, only behind Merc, Ferrari and Red Bull.

The bookies clearly think they've made significant gains over the winter.

Or there is a surprising amount of money going in that direction and they want to mitigate the risk (however remote).

Thought it was worth revisiting the betting thread at this point in the season. I have £20 on HAM WDC, McLaren no podium & Sauber 0 pts at 66/1. Have to say it is looking more plausible with every race that passes. How are everyone else's bets looking?

Well my each way bet on Rosberg for WDC isn't looking as good as it was a few weeks ago!

As long as he pulls his finger out and manages to finish second I'll at least get my money back and a tiny insignificant profit.

In a similar fashion, my E/W bet on Vettel to win in Canada was also looking good for a while, but I still got a bit of profit from his second place finish.

I took some of this too but it had already moved down to 50/1, still a very good bet.

With a wet Monaco done and no drama from Canada, we're a considerable step closer as that would likely have been Sauber's best chance at points.

The other two components are looking nailed on now.

Nasr is in 6th. The race has been red flagged. The conditions aren't going to change.

So near and yet so far :-(

Oh well. 9th for Nasr. It was fun while it lasted.
