Attended the filming last night of the Clare Balding show guests on which included Clare Williams and Fillipe Massa,

Firstly, Ms Williams
Always thought her a good thing but she came across, both during and after filming, as a thoroughly grounded, well rounded, very personable person and totally unaffected by her background and upbringing.

She's also significantly better looking in real life than on telly and she's hardly a munter there! My soft spot for her has gotten a little less soft I think!

Fillipe
Never realised just how tiny he is.

Also a thoroughly nice chap, plenty of time for the audience afterwards. You do get the sense that he's got a new run at life at Williams.

Sadly, the questions and chat was a bit bland "when did you first realise you wanted to be a racing driver" type stuff. Partridge could have written it himself.

Saw her on Celebrity Pointless and thought she was rather grounded and down to earth, which was impressive. Her parents did a cracking job.

I have a lot of time for Claire Williams.

I think she is the female role model for the sport - not Susie Wolff

The Claire Balding show does seem to attract some good guests, but she's a crap interviewer and some of her questions are cringe worthy.

The car is 149cm, so that looks about right.

Quite an advantage...
No added ballast to penalise his car either !

And when he does drive his road car, which is probably a Mercedes now, even an A-Class must feel like being inside an MPV hehe .

Claire went to school with a couple of people I used to work with - both of them said she was 100% normal and nice!

I had a chat with someone at a trade show how proudly told me they had lots of ex-Williams people who all got the hump when she was appointed. He wasn't too impressed when I mentioned it didn't seem to be doing results any harm now they had shed all the dead wood.

I like Clare Williams too. Always comes across well and I'd definitely buy her a steak dinner....and not a cheap one either.

Forgot I had this pic from the show (They were trying to break the world record for the longest thrown bullseye).

Just to the right of Massa is the Rugby player Victor Matfield - a big bloke but I've seen bigger players but look where Massa is compared to Matfields shoulder!

She has always struck me as ideal wife material, good looking with a touch of class, not the blonde bombshell, caked in make up variety.

Confident in her own abilities without the arrogance that often goes with that.

Capable of having a laugh when possible (judging by interviews), but equally of keen analysis and intelligent decision making.

Similar interests to my own and I guess anyone else in this section of this site.

Finally and most importantly she has access to her own F1 team and cars, meaning free tickets and travel to every grand prix and probably a healthy discount on any Mercedes that might take your fancy smile

Just don't tell my actual wife about this post biggrin

Now if CW had a dad who also owned a brewery .. she really would be wife material.
