There you go then, after all that noise and drama they are going to run TAG Heuer branded Renault units...

Timing is Everything. We will drive forward with TAG Heuer power unit in 2016.

If timing is everything when will they lose the Casio logo on the bottom of their webpage hehe

Can expect Ron to have woken to find his body at home and his nose somewhere around Fife...

Hmm. Unless they're making massive improvements to the reliability, I can't see how this is a good advert for their watches!

It looks like Red Bull paid the price for slagging off Renault in public as they were paying 24 million Euros a year for the engines but next year they are paying 30 million Euros.I doubt the engine will be as good as the one in the back of the Renault.

At the moment its a one year deal probably because if the engine manufacturers agree to lowering the cost of their engines and supply other teams if they are asked Red Bull in 2017 will choose which engines (Mercedes,Ferrari,Honda or keep Renault)they want in 2017 and in theory will be given the engine they want.

I thought the idea is that now customers have to use the same engine spec as the works team? So they would be the same surely?

As for the cost, I think that's why TAG Heuer have appeared, to absorb some of the extra costs that have suddenly appeared

I can just see it now...

Ted Kravitz: "So, Christian, that's another engine related DNF. What happened?"

Horner: "It cracked under pressure"

In theory the Mercedes engines are all the same before the latest upgrade but dont see anyone beating them. The Ferrari engine is different to the ones in the Sauber and Manor are a couple of years old.Next year Toro Rosso will be running a year old Ferrari engine.

Next year most teams will have the same engine as the manufacture teams but will they have the same software and updates.

Red Bull need more sponsors as Total and Infinity are paying Red Bull 50% less money this tear and will not sponsor the team in 2017 as they will be going to Renault team then and maybe in 2016.

I read something along the lines of: the out for Infiniti cost RB close to 100mill, along with the price it'll cost RB to now 'purchase' PUs, Renault have effectively used this cash to purchase Lotus for free and parlay themselves a seat at the F1 mgmt table. Kinda amazing and a major screw up by RB given that they're back to root 1.
