No but he's a lot better than most
This. When the car is one of the best and set up just the way he likes it there are only a handful who would be in the same league. As a man who can endure the roughest machines on the track and yet still usually come out with a smile on his face and help the team develop the car he is almost with out equal.
As a whole though whilst, I would say he was well in the top ten on the grid yesterday, there are others who are better.
If you also think that the ability to be in the right car at the right time is also an attribute any good driver should have he's on a bit of a loser...
You think he's a better driver now than when he won his wdc, and the 3 years at Mclaren with Lewis?!
You should be giving JB alittle more credit than that, to say a driver who made his debut at the the age of 20, has FINALLY peaked in the final 1-2 years of his career at the age of 35!...

Basically, yes.You should be giving JB alittle more credit than that, to say a driver who made his debut at the the age of 20, has FINALLY peaked in the final 1-2 years of his career at the age of 35!...
He is a far better driver in terms of the full package of not just raw talent, but considered thinking.
Yes, he is not about to win the wdc, but as i am sure you know, you can only do that in the right car.
I would suggest he is now as good as alonso.
In that case, you mustn't rate Fernando all that high up on your list of best drivers.
