Susie Wolff retires from driving
Discussion
Maybe it was Toto's decision - the dead horse had been flogged for way too long any way.
Actually, I'd have liked to see her get a race or two just to prove the point one way or another as a sort of 'put up or shut up'.
Perhaps Susie should go into politics - when discussing her reasons for retirement in her BBC interview this morning, at no point did she mention the glaringly obvious fact that she was just TOO SLOW.

Interesting you say that. In one of the few data points we have, she was just 0.7s slower than Massa, a guy with a seriously impressive track record. Actually, I'd have liked to see her get a race or two just to prove the point one way or another as a sort of 'put up or shut up'.

She probably was a bit too slow (but slower than, say, Will Stevens?), but her age was also against her. Pity, I'd have liked to see her get a race or two.

Even if she were quicker than Stevens, which is questionable, she still wouldnt be worth a seat in a Williams and its not reasonable to make a comparison with Massa during practice sessions when they are running a set programme and not out to set the fastest times.
Must be the least successful sportsperson of all time to announce her 'retirement' live on BBC Breakfast.

How could she have got a race without a superlicense? But it would have been good to see how well she could perform against her F1 peers on a level playing field.Actually, I'd have liked to see her get a race or two just to prove the point one way or another as a sort of 'put up or shut up'.

I also would like to formally announce my retirement from formula 1
Oh no not you as well!!! What is the world coming to? I thought you had a good chance for next season as Lewis would be distracted by the battle with Nico and Ferrari keep crashing/breaking down! Sad day for F1!!Looks like she has finally realized she is only a sponsor-tickler used by Williams to get cameras pointed at their sponsors logos when they were in the doldrums, but as of 2014 When Williams actually started being successful, they dont need her to get the cameras pointed at their sponsors logos, Pat Symonds took care of that with a successful series of car designs, also how the hell she gets invited to the race of champions defies belief, what championship did she ever win - none.....look at her career history on Wikipedia and you will quickly realize she is nothing than an utterly useless driver........loads of other female drivers out there that deserve a chance and had massive success in karts, Jessica Hawkins has to be top of the list, currently competing in MSA formula but struggling for budget, but loads of potential, she is an utter weapon in a kart.
