I've come to have some healthy respect for these two so hope they reappear elsewhere.

Bit of a surprise (to me anyway), they managed Marussia, through some very tough and dark times, surprised they'd leave now that Manor look to be turning a corner with Mercedes and Williams deals.

Wonder what the reasoning is.

Been going on a while, Stephen Fitzpatrick & Lowdon have nothing to do with each other anymore.

A shame, as they are quite the pairing.

Does anyone else fear the words "Colin Kolles appointed as acting team principal" might be marching in the direction of this story?

I hope it is Dave Richards, he always seemed like he knew what he was doing at BAR Honda (ignore the additional fuel tank saga). Colin Kolles won't be allowed in the paddock after all the other fk ups. I know a few people that work with Fitzpatrick and whilst this is 2nd hand information, they tell me he isn't the easiest to work with.

Ovo energy Manor Prodrive Mercedes scratchchin

Whatever is happening I hope it was decided a long time ago and has had plenty of investment...can't see them getting rid of those two guys unless a big plan was in place.

Hope they both find a position somewhere on the grid.

Fuel tank saga = genius in my book, apart from the bit where they were busted

Actually, lets do some fluffed calculations here for a bit of 2+2=5000

Prodrive and Aston have big links.....Aston and AMG are now in an engineering share deal with Astons getting AMG engines, Daimler also owns 5% of Aston....Manor just confirmed Mercedes AMG engines...and moved into the prodrive facility..... silly

Autosport is claiming Force India is the target for Aston Marting Racing not Manor.

It just makes X Factor and Stricktly Come Dancing all the more interesting.

It's entertainment, "but not as we know it", Jim.

Pre-qualifying crap cars seemed so much more sportsmanlike.

For a long time I have had Manor as my small team to support, but without Booth and Lowdon, who both come accross as top guys, it just won't be the same really.

As they said on Sky F1 yesterday, who are they going to replace them with?

Bob Bell was never one to keep. I think it's a sign Renault is closing in on the deal with Lotus.

I don't believe this for one moment...but let's toss Brawn's name into the ring...

...perhaps the truth behind Manor showing up in Melbourne without the car keys might come out now? They went down in my estimation at that point...

I thought he was always an interim consultant.

Yep. I think most of these guys are consultants. Saward is saying he's working at Enstone now anyways. I just meant that Manor was nothing but a stop gap for Bell and him leaving was always going to happen. It just happened to be at the same time that Lowdon and Booth tender their resignations.

There are talks/negotiations. Thats not to say aston aren't considering other options?

A merc powered aston-prodrive-manor sounds sweet to me. An aston stickered merc lump in an FI not so much.
