Does F1 need a faster safety car?

A McLaren MP4-30 would do!
[alonso mode] I love your sense of humour [/alonso mode] Back on topic i raised this point at the weekend with the missus, she agreed, it should be something more focussed on the task at hand, although it has to be said once Bernd Maylander was givent he hurry up it was an impressive bit of driving!
That being said i am struggling with a suitable replacement idea
I was at Brands in 1975 or so when, for reasons unexplained, the safety car followed the cars around the track on their first lap. We were at Paddock and could just see the Jaguar appear from under the bridge from the GP circuit, dive to the right, brake hard on the unused bit of track, just as the first car appeared.
Would do better to work on keeping it out for less laps.
Should look at clearing cars quickly (some tracks are far better at this than others), a fast response road supersweepervaccuum instead of a bunch of dinnerladies with brooms, and looking at options to repair/reinstate tec pro quickly
