I'm planning a trip to the above meeting on the 13-15th of May so far i've worked out that flying to Nice and staying there is the best option. Where should I buy tickets and is it worth getting a grandstand seat to be able to see anything? Can anyone recommend any reasonably priced Hotels near the Station in Nice.
Thanks.

I've used the Star a couple of times. Rooms a bit small but clean and tidy and well priced for Nice. Just off the Main Street and close for the station and airport bus. Some of the smaller grandstands sold out last year but plenty of space in The big ones along the harbour. Great event. Enjoy

I'm also interested in going to this next year.

Which are the best grandstands to go for?

We went last year and have booked to go again in 2016. It is a fantastic event and amazing value. IMO the best grandstand is K1, great view and easy to pop out to get a drink etc. Last year we did the Saturday in K1 and the Sunday at Casino Square but personally I didn't like Casino Square so we managed to swap them for K4, which was also good but not as good at K1.

As an alternative to Nice, you could look at staying in Menton, from there it is 8 mins by train to Monaco and the K grandstands are very near the station.

I am also booked and in the K stand somewhere. Really looking forward to it. Whilst I am staying in Nice I can certainly vouch for Menton - it is a lovely town.
