Discussion
Hi im travelling from the lake district on saturday plan is to get a hotel about 1hour away and travel in early doors on sunday morning ,My questions are 1-best place to park -seen dardford camp site offering parking for £15 is it any good? and it says a 10 min walk to club corner which brings me to question 2- my 10 year old daughter will be with me (shes a karter and loves f1) we have GA tickets where would be the best place to stand (decent view for a small person and not far from toilets and near food, merchandise, etc) and distance to the area from the club corner entrance, never been before so bit clueless at the moment?.
Thanks Tony

These guys charge £5 for 24 hours if that sounds better.

Hi Tony,Thanks Tony
Never actually been GA but have been in most grandstands and walked the circuit many times.
From Club corner I believe the nearest GA areas are Vale and Hanger straight:
Vale should give you views from Stowe, through Vale and round Club. it's a fairly wide, [shallow] sloping grass bank.
Hanger straight - boring in my opinion.
Then you get to Becketts - fans love this area of Silverstone. Great part of the track for viewing the cars. Again, a grass slope (gravel towards the top).
Then there's Luffield - concrete steps affording a good view of Luffield/woodlands complex.
Then Copse - fast corner at the end of national pit straight.
I couldn't tell you how the views will be, either through the fences or through the crowds if you're not at the front - but I think you would have to aim to be at the front, wherever you go, to 'try' and guarantee an unhindered view.
Most people sit on chairs and you'll see the occasional beach shelter about. It can be difficult to move through the crowds.
There are probably other areas I've missed off.
there are eateries dotted all over but I believe the Main F1 village is situated in the Woodcote area of the circuit.
Hope this helps.
Enjoy,
Scott
Dadford road parking, if still available is a good shout. It's very near the entrance behind Farm and is tarmac. Loos are good there - never crowded.
As others have said, a lot of the banking from Stowe to Club has been converted to grandstands - all covered, but there is still some limited area but very much first come first served
