Less than a week to go and no thread yet?

Well here's to one of the most picturesque GPs on the calendar and a great old track, if slightly less great than the proper track of old....

Rosburg's chance to get one over on Lewis?

Red Bull's home race so desperate measures to put on a good showing?

Can the Williams be as fast as last year?

Updated V3 Mercedes engines for their supplied teams.

Bumper crowds heading over from Germany seeing as no home GP?

Plus Mclaren, Vettel, Kimi, and lots of other things to chat about......

Force India reckoned on the F1 Show they weren't getting the updated engine until Austria, maybe they had the engine for the last race but needed time to get it running up to speed?

Definitely a race I'd like to visit sometime soon, especially f you got a chance to drive the track around the same time as the weekend.

This with red bull and torro rosso filling up the top 10. Lotus/saulber and fi to battle for the non points McLaren to retire and manor to trundle around the back.

^^^I can't argue with a single word of this.

But, I'll stick my neck out and further suggest:

Qualy:
1. HAM
2. ROS
3. VET

Race:
1. HAM
2. ROS
3. RAI

The Mercedes engine update is said to have increased the performance delta between Mercedes and Ferrari, so it'll be interesting to see if we're going to have the Williams truly pressurising the Ferraris, the Lotus pressurising the Saubers and Renault engined cars etc.

It's a quick circuit so I reckon the Torro Rossos will once again outshine the Red Bulls.

[very boring man]Disqual for not using both tyres[/very boring man]

scratchchin If you put the fastest wearing tyre on for the "parade lap", then pit, change to the better tyre, then do the race on that set...does that count? (I presume it's not allowed but...dafter things have happened in the past)

I reckon it'll be Williams giving a hard time to Mercedes. Ferrari next and then who knows. Well I do know it won't be McLaren.

Crossing my fingers for a more interesting race than the last 3. Maybe Ferrari's true pace was "masked" in Canada and we will see a real challenge from Vettel and hopefully Raikkonen too........ but I wont hold my breath.

It isn't the best of over taking tracks is it??

I may well be wrong here but I remember some chat about the pit lane not opening until a couple of laps have been completed.

the new engines were available to the customer teams, the issue was that if they used them, it then counts towards their 4 engines (PU) per year, so if they were in the middle of the life of their old engine, it probably made sense not to use the new one.

I think I read that Redbull are likely to take their engine penalty here, so probably starting from the back.

I'm reading that it's likely to be a wet weekend.

Should help McLaren up the grid.

can't see that being the case, they have to be reliable first.
