I rarely see this mentioned anywhere, like it's one huge secret that no one talks about. I'm sure there's prizes for winning a race from the FIA and not just the trophy and champagne either. So I'd guess it's money, right? If so, how much? Are we talking millions or hundreds of thousands? I'm sure the teams also get prize money, so how much is that? No doubt drivers will get win or point bonuses but from the FIA/FOM directly seems to be a big secret. Why? Because the general public would see it as obscene? Personally the F1 viewing public are as good as numb to the amounts swilling around in the F1 bank accounts, so why the big secret?

depends on the contract. In my understanding the drivers actually get nothing monetarily from FOM but the contract might award a cash bonus from the team for either a win or points dependant on it.
In terms of the trophies themselves Mclaren are infamous for saying any trophies won are theirs too.
Other teams are more lenient and simply have replicas made to stick in their cabinets.
As with anything in F1 its generally down to the teams and contracts between them, the driver and FOM....

Points = cash at the end of the year. And they can be worth millions.
