Discussion
Hi,
it's another 'where to sit' thread.
After many years of Silverstone, four of us are headed to Monza for this year.
I've been thinking about Prima Variante to catch the mayhem after the start/finish straight.
Is there anywhere else I should consider? I'd much rather we are on a bend than one of the straights.
Finally - is bookf1.com reputable, or do I just get them online from Formula1.com?
Thanks.

Simply a note to say that BookF1 are very good indeed.
Agree. Used them for a couple of years for Monza. We had 16 guys in our group and stayed at Lake Como. Brilliant. Rented a couple of decent speed boats on qualifying Saturday and hooned around the lake.
About 30 miles to the circuit.
Stayed at Besancon travelling to Como. Again bloody excellent. You will love it.
Planning to go to the German GP this year, if they can agree on which circuit and Bernie would stop being such a parasite!

Cheers - we are planning on staying in central Milan and getting the train out to Monza on the Sunday.
For some reason my wife and daughter are planning a small bit of shopping whilst there.
Your wife and daughter would find plenty of "shopping opportunities" in Como and there's a lot of things to see and do that you can't do in Milan, we've stayed there for the last two years while going to Monza. It's an easy train journey from Como to Monza and a lot less crowded than coming from Milan, Como is a great choice to stay if you have a wife/partner/friend who's not into going to the track. For some reason my wife and daughter are planning a small bit of shopping whilst there.

Cheers, I've booked 4 tickets for Alta Velocita in the end.
Good choice, we watched from there on practice day last year, part of the day anyway. The area behind the stands is fairly heavily shaded by trees so great for getting some shade between sessions, it's also got food and beer available there but take some mozzie cream it was alive with them there last year even in the middle of the day. It's also near the old banking so go and take a peep. They have marshals at each entry point but if you smile nicely they'll probably let you on, they did with us last year.MadMacMcMad said:

Be aware that the nurburgring is mainly sitting on concrete steps, we booked a grandstand and we were shown to our allocated 2 square feet of concrete. There was 2 burger vans for the whole circuit and we queued in the car for 2 hours when we got to the circuit! We had 16 guys in our group and stayed at Lake Como. Brilliant.
