BBC television's 10 live races in 2015:

29 March - Malaysia
19 April - Bahrain
7 June - Canada
5 July - Great Britain
26 July - Hungary
23 August - Belgium
27 September - Japan
11 October - Russia
15 November - Brazil
29 November - Abu Dhabi

Could be worse, at least they have Japan and Canada. Shame that they do not have Italy or Monaco.

NowTV again for me this year I think...

Will these be the ones that have bonus points of some other gimmick?

Do they offer the Russian one at a special price to the BBC? Given last year there must surely be some inducement to show it...

Well I object to paying for a Sky subscription as I have no interest in other sports.

Day pass, £7.

You can buy a box or many devices will also now play Now TV. Quality is great, and I can pick and choose the races. Oh, and it's legal - it's run by Sky.

Thanks for this, I didn't realise this was an option.

I did SkyGo for £20 a month for part of the first season when Sky took over, but then lost interest in watching F1 for a couple years.

This season might be too good to miss though!

Now that Korea is canceled the BBC will have to drop one of these as per their contract with Sky.
No, they won't. Their contract stipulates that they can show 50% of the races live. The last two seasons only had 19 races so the BBC showed 9. As this season is now confirmed at 20 races they can show 10. If Korea had remained they would still only have 10, to Sky's 11 exclusives.

The BBC delayed their announcement of which races they would be covering due to the uncertainty of the Korean event. Had Korea been one of their 10 then they would only have 9 once it was dropped, to Sky's 11 exclusives.

The week pass at £10.99 would be a better bet if you also want to watch qualifying.

Yup. I have a toddler that has other ideas, but at least she gets me up for the early races...

I suspect they don't have "choice" - it will be a blend of historic races and new races, baked into the contract.

Only 10 races not shown on BBC, so only £100

I watch BBC. Then top up on Sky races. So probably £30-£50. I like to be able to decide on the day.

Edit - and the cheapest I can see Sky Sports + f1 in HD for is £52 a month... rising to £62 a month.?

Are there any online options to watch non-BBC F1 races in HD? I already watch them on skygo which is fine but SD.

I mostly watch it on a laptop and it has been better than SD - certainly watchable.

I thought Monaco was supposed to be one of those 'protected' events that was always free to air?

I could quite happily never watch Monaco ever again. Such a dull race.

Spa, Canada, Australia and maybe Singapore all others are just 60 odd parade laps with you praying for a crash or a mechanical failure so some positions can change.

Also keep your eyes open for promotions - in the last couple of years I've had NowTV sports day passes from both Shell petrol stations & on packs of Carling lager.
