BBC F1 Lewis Hamilton: Duel of the Silver Arrows 2014
Discussion
Just watched this and thoroughly enjoyed it. What a great season we had, the skills of Lewis, the speed of Nico coupled with tremendous maturity in the way he approached a couple of difficult points, the emergence of Daniel Ricciardo, and the shocking accident of Jules being the only low point.
Hopefully we'll have more of the positives next year. If Nico bounces right back and if perhaps Merc don't have such an advantage we'll have another cracking year, but it was a great programme all round. Well done the Beeb.

And available for 1 week on the BBC i-player.
Normally 1hr, this year 1hr10 & even less talking from the presenters than normal . . . because, there was so much action to show, fantastic resume that will keep me sane until I receive the review DVD (actually thinking to buy a Bluray player to get the extra coverage available on that format )
Even with Mercedes dominance (in fact partially because of Mercedes dominance) we had a classic season.
If we think back to the other "classic" seasons, having two drivers battling for the championship was always enough, whether they be in the same team (Senna/ Prost ) or rival teams (Alonso/Vettel) doesn't really matter.
Big hats off to Mercedes for letting it happen, thereby avoiding the Schumacher/Ferrari era quandry, where the only interesting question was "who was second" ?
BRAVO MERCEDES ! !

A nicely produced programme, well worth watching. Brought it all back. I was getting excited towards the end. Even Eddie Jordan didn't say much, so an added bonus.
I normally get the season DVD for Xmas but it looks like I'll have to buy it myself.
I can see why they concentrated on the battle at the front but what made the season exciting was that even when there was just one Merc, there were always exciting battles down the field.

is there an equivalent Sky F1 programme available anywhere if you don't have Sky F1?
Yes there was, shown several times last week. Some interesting discussions with Toto Wolfe and no one sitting around pontificating. However if you haven't got Sky F1 how do you intend to watch it? Eric Mc said:
If you have Virgin TV, you can often Sky F1 programmes as part of their "Watch Again" listings - even if you don't subscribe to Sky F1.
That's useful to know Eric for those without Sky. http://tv.sky.com/tv-guide#/programme/detail/1306/...

Never mind ( I thought she grew much less irritating as the season wore on ) & I still forgive Eddie his "cringe" moments for those when he is just SO lucid, or those where he barges in & goes straight for the jugular. . . .but, more importantly, watched the programme for the 2nd time, and no doubt will watch it at least once more. . . . what a season, and what a fighter we have as a World Champ, bring on 2015 !

Thats why I want the name of the music, so I dont have to hear him babbling on over it.
If anyone out there knows the name of the music then I appeal for you to post your reply in this thread.
It sounds like something from Hans Zimmer (Inception, Dark Knight Rises, etc) but can't be 100% sure though, sorry! If anyone out there knows the name of the music then I appeal for you to post your reply in this thread.
