Just found these pictures on my mobile from a couple of years ago. On my way to work I took these. This was what was left of the team. Now nearly two years later - even that has disappeared. The storage company doesn't even make any references to the previous stoarge company called Arrows :-(

When you look at the troubles of Marussia, HRT and Caterham in the last three years, it doesn't seem long ago (only a decade) that efficiently run teams such as Arrows, Jordan, Prost/Ligier and Aguri could regular challenge in the top six of a GP and embarrass the grandees.

Let's hope that F1 gets back to this business model soon.

That was in the days before bulletproof reliability though. They were mostly still quite a long way behind the big-budget teams in terms of lap time. Given how reliable even the new hybrid power units have been, I can't see those days coming back ever again, unfortunately.

Agree with the OP that it's a shame that the best use of the old Arrows building is for storage frown

That's a shame, I used to go there with work many years ago and stand in their downstairs foyer marvelling over the 4 pot engine (BMW IIRC) on a stand with a statement saying it would produce 1500HP cool

End of an era for me.

My Dad worked there from its opening until it relocated to Leafield.

He actually applied the original Arrows sign in the second photo with a scissor lift on a windy day. I remember it well!

Pretty much grew up in that factory as Dad worked so many hours and let me go with him sometimes.

The self storage was actually run by an Arrows co owner after TWR bought it out he kept the factory as part of the deal hence it was called Arrows self storage. We kept our dragster trailer there for a while.

Used to love the Warsteiner car in reception.
