Kind of a pity about the radio ban though, it was a bit more interesting to have the driver have to do the working it out for themselves.
I was looking forward to that too. The partial ban in the 2nd half of 2014 season didn't seem to cause them any noticeable problems.noell35 said:

Double points was never going to last but I wouldn't mind seeing points for pole positions and fastest laps
I like the idea but can't help but think that the bottom end teams would just produce a qualifying spec car to get the points and sod the race?zac510 said:
Imagine the whinging on web forums when the championship is won on a Saturday.
Indeed! It's not nice watching the last race when someones already won the championship. It is good watching a battle to the end. Last weekend, hammy didn't NEED pole, but still went for it, as it's the best way to with a champ.zac510 said:

It means that only direct help for drivers will be outlawed - rather than pursuing the hardline clampdown on all team-to-driver communication as was originally planned."

Slightly OT, but is there a way to replay the radio messages on some site either during the race, or post-race?
http://www.f1fanatic.co.uk/category/regular-featur...This is normally the easiest way to get them a few days after the race.

Id like to see the same points awarded on a Saturday as they are on a sunday...but then reverse the grid for the race. It would mean you'd aim for 25 points on the qualifier start in 10th place and have to race to get another 25 points for the win without just pissing off into the sunset as per most of the pole sitters.JontyR said:

Does that mean if you had a 10 place grid penalty for changing your engine you'd move up the grid?Gassing Station | Formula 1 | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
