...he's been stringing Alonso along like this to exact revenge for his 2007 behaviour - leaving him without a drive in 2015?

Even if he did he'd probably retain Magnussen, promote Vandoorne and bin JB anyway!

Oh and he gets bonus points for ejecting that slippery tool Boullier additionally!

Although I wouldn't put such a dirty trick past him, it wouldn't be the first driver he has shat on, he couldn't fall much further in my estimation anyway.

He'd fall in my estimation if that were the case. Dick move.

It would be childish and petty to do so. I'd expect more from someone with such attention to detail and vision for his team.

It would be very silly considering Alonso is a lot better than JB and KM.

Alonsos got cock all bargaining power now. And I bet its him anyway who wants to call the shots on his number 2 driver. In which case it certainly won't be Button sadly.

I don't see the 'lot better' than JB, I'd like to see Alonso play a strong role in a team with 2 top drivers before falling for the hype the likes of Roebuck spout. I can only see tantrums and tears at McLaren next year as the Honda engine develops; not a role for a prima donna with a latin temperament surely?

It's crossed my mind that they'll pull out of F1 altogether and just give it to Honda, I've been trying to find a rational explanation for their fking around in sorting out 2015 lineups. I havent looked, I guess they've filed their paperwork for actually racing in 2015 so that theory might not bear out anyway.

I doubt Honda would be happy if he did this. So no.
I dare say you're right, but I wonder how happy they'll be when Fred starts hurling the toys if the car/engine/running of the team don't match up to his expectations.

If Mr Honda was still alive, from what I've heard he's probably throw a spanner at the slimy Spaniard.

I doubt McLaren or Mercedes wanted the spoilt child throwing toys during his last stint, or Ferrari doing his stint there, but that is what they got. He has only not thrown his toys when in teams run by Flav, his manager. Not a coincidence I think.
