Oh dear. Hopefully NOT a grid penalty though.

Well I will be alone in hoping they don't get grid penalties as they look like they have the pace to fight with Williams tomorrow and I would like to see Vettel leave on a high note. But rules are rules so I'm sure there will be some penalty handed out.

If there is a grid penalty then it would virtually guarantee Alonso and Bottas jumping Vettel in the WDC. (although whether they care about that or not is another matter).

The pace was [probably] because of an illegal front wing confused

McLaren only ran it in FP1 on Kevin M's car though didn't they?

According to Andrew Benson the red bulls are excluded from qualifying but will be allowed to start from the back of the grid

Presumably they'll have to replace the wings, so pit lane start surely?

Imagine if it was Merc, would have been one hell of a spectacle!

Good news for Hamilton though, two less reasonably quick cars to worry about.

Blimey :-)

Aye, surely if the car is modified its a breach of parc ferme? Hence pit lane start?

SamI design doesn't necessarily mean same layup.

On the bright side, we will see them making their way through the field. Might well be fun.

There's a certain irony given the comments Horner made about the McL wing.

It failed a deflection test, not for design/dimensions reasons.

It seems a shame to punish the drivers to me for this. By all means fine the team or remove Constructor Points, but the drivers? Of course, as others have said, now there is going to be some fun as they scrap through the backmarkers.

It was meant as a joke, but I guess if I have to explain...

You mean the drivers who got an unfair advantage?
