I find it incredible that a 4 times world champion whose actual credentials have obviously been exposed would want to be aquired by such a brand. Whoever is now incharge must have a roulette style opinion of his/her career.

I would suggest that the Vettel cheque would be much better spent on engineering skill. Dissapointing to see one of the most evocative brands hiring an incredibly dull man.

Sorry, couldn't disagree more. Vettel has a genuine passion for Motorsport and F1 history. You just need to hear him on the subject. He has a sharp wit and subversive sense of humor and he is a fantastic driver. I think you can excuse someone who has fough and won a title four years in a row having an off season - these guys are not robots. Sometimes a change of scene is needed. I have high hopes for him at Ferrari. I could always be wrong of course but I'd much rather have a genuine car nut in Ferrari than the political malcontent Alonso.

Most likely a good thing for Ferrari - new leader needs a break with the past. Vettel needs a new challenge and the lure of a championship with the red team? We'd all do the same. I didn't like the way he behaved with Webber but then I loved it when Senna took matters into his own hands so perhaps it's me who should think differently?

Whatever, some German teutonic aggression has mixed well with Ferrari red-blooded passion before, could well do again.

All things equal Vettel still has it IMHO. I just don't think that after winning 4 titles he has the same fire when driving an inferior car.

His rumoured $80 million is crazy as well of true, even for a 4 time WDC.

Well, the RB this year is only inferior to the Merv, arguably, and possibly the RB of previous years. So calling it inferior is a bit harsh. Maybe Vettel just needs a change? They do say a change is as good as a holiday!

I think Ferrari will be quite pleased to have a decent driver instead of a cheating dolmio puppet. They may win something again.

I dont think he can develop a car enough for what Ferrari will want/need. The new guy is a hatchet man and Alonso couldnt cut it with what he needs out of a driver IMO. Whatever politics and other stories, Alonso was hiding at Ferrari hoping that they'd make it better and he'd be on to a win for the drivers championship.

I'm not sure Vettel can do any better, he's been outdriven by Ricciardo fairly consistently, and that kind of points to a problem with how he can get a car set up and drive it. If it's driving style that's the problem, he's going to face the same problem elsewhere, the cars are built to the regs. I just dont think he's got along with the hybrid / regen type setups. If it's out and out engine issues fair enough, but Ferrari arent exactly giving Mercedes engines a sleepless night
