Hi chaps, I'm looking for hotel recommendations for Spa next year. I've been a couple of times, stayed in Brussels once and camped last time.

This time i'm thinking of sacrificing a grandstand ticket for hotel. Having looked at the reviews for the Racing Hotel in the heart of the village, I'm backing away rather quickly!

So, looking at a maximum spend of 100 euros per person, per night, there will be four adults.

Any places recommended, likewise any places to avoid!

Hi there,

Me and the missus stayed in Kaltherberg just over the German border. Lovely place and about a half an hour to drive to in the morning.

Left at 7am on Sunday morning and headed to the track with minimal traffic.

I'll try and find the place later but I really liked it, middle of nowhere though!

Here we go..

Map to the circuit from there, it doesn't take as long as it says it does trust me!

Fantastic scenery around on the route to, I will stay there again be it on a euro road trip or Spa next year.

Cheers Andy

What was the cost per night?

IIRC it was under 300 euros for the 3 nights we stayed. I think it was around £75 per night

Edit - That was total, not each!

try these guys if you fancy a self catering cottage

www.ardennes-etape.be

loads to choose from and i didn't confirm our booking until June for this years race.

where we stayed had room for 8, all mods cons including a sauna and jacuzzi and was in a lovely village about 12km from the circuit. 5 of us went and it cost £38 per person per night staying Fri/Sat/Sun night.

We drove to the circuit in about 20 mins each morning - took longer getting out after the race but we were in no rush.

If we go again next year then we'll stay at the same place ( hence i'm not telling you exactly where we stayed tongue out but there were plenty to choose from even booking late )

This June, 3 Adults stayed here on the outskirts of Spa Town

It’s a nice walk, probably ¾ of a mile, to Spa town.

We stayed in the ‘Monza’ – has two bedrooms each with 2 single beds, so will sleep you all comfortably.

The kitchen had everything you need, bar an oven.

It was clean, the owners were really friendly.

There’s also a couple of other rentable buildings – the converted barn was newer and looked particularly nice.

Monza cost us €35 per person per night. Not sure on the cost of the other buildings.

If I was revisiting Spa I’d book here again.

ETA - the photos don't do the place justice.

Last time I stayed there was rather underwhelmed. All round.

We stay slightly out of town - can't for the life of me remember the name. I realise that doesn't help!

The food is pretty good but the rooms were certainly nothing to write home about. The room we had reminded me of staying at my grandparents in the 70's. But it was clean and decent and a great location for the circuit.

Helipad? Wouldn't dream of staying somewhere without one...

Hmm, I received a few responses from various hotels yesterday, the most expensive so far is £8000 for 4 nights yikes

You sir are a ledge!

Thanks for all the responses, looks like we'll go down the self catering route.
