Disney to Buy F1?

It is suggested this weekend that Bernie is going to pay to make the Munich charges go away. So does a sale to Disney seem likely?
Seems to me an article of wishful thinking!

Sylt is not a source I would trust completely, or at all. He every so often comes over as an Ecclestone sycophant. It is suggested this weekend that Bernie is going to pay to make the Munich charges go away. So does a sale to Disney seem likely?

Its a perfect fit with all the Mickey Mouse tracks nowadays
I can actually see it happening. Disney can probably see the money to be made from toy F1 cars. Forbes is one of the most well known American biz mags so they should have sources in the right places too. If the drivers end up wearing mouse ears on the podium thats when we know its gone too far!

I was waiting for the Mickey Mouse comments to turn up.
Well you cant have Goofy running it. Mind you, is Disney such a bad idea?A quick spell and no need for track marshalls: the brooms will sweep themselves!
mary poppins to tidy up the pits afterwards
Donald duck in charge of wet weather running
It may not be so far from the truth when you consider Disney owns ESPN in the US and knows more about hospitality, crowds, merchandising and ticketing than any other global organisation. Fourteen years ago IMG was looking at buying F1 along with major broadcaster (Fox and B Sky B), but Bernie wasnt selling to either owner back then. Disney has very deep pockets, huge investor backing and tv and film experience.....Pixar, Star Wars and theme parks. Dont laugh or kill this yet.

How much trust can you place in a writer who regularly quotes himself as a source, via articles he has previously written for some other publication?
Depends on whether the previous articles are correct I guess? After seeing Disney buy Marvel and Lucas without any anti trust challenge I will believe anything!
