Allegedly FIFA want to ban Nico's helmet from the German Grand Prix.
"Any unauthorised use of the official marks not only undermines the integrity of the FIFA world cup and its marketing programme," said FIFA, "but also puts the interests of the worldwide football community at stake."

what a load of tosh. People in Glasshouses should not throw stones I say....

Don't really see why Nico is celebrating the German football team's success on his helmet anyway, just seems quite an obvious attempt to Germanise himself after Hamilton's comments.

I expect it's because he's German and would like to celebrate the fact that his national team recently won the World Cup.

He's changed it.

Here's the original design

Personally, I'd have changed it to a gold statue of a middle finger salute.

I'd have drawn a japper on the tip of the trophy and then drawn myself around it with it emerging from between my legs like an enormous Third E-Reich-tion, to signify my country's dominance and my own sexual power.

Guaranteed to put Lewis off his stroke at the start.

I don't think it's bitterness talking... Nico grew up / spent his while life in Monaco and raced under a Monaco flag early on; although I might be wrong. As for bloodline; he's Finnish isn't he?

Only just noticed the winning years, if only they'd won in 94 instead of 90 it would have been a perfect 20 year cycle......54, 74, 90, 14
