The Official Silverstone GP thread 2014 ****SPOILERS****
Discussion
It will be interesting to see if the gap between Merc, Williams and the rest stays closer at Silverstone or if it opens up again. It was nice having a reasonably competitive race Austria but I can't help but feel a combination of things masked Merc's true pace and made things seem closer than they really are.....
If the gap is genuinely closer then I hope Williams will adopt a more aggressive strategy and try for the win this time.
I would also like to see Kimi get his act together - his season so far has been embarrassing and such a contrast to the last 2 years at Lotus. I would really like to see him in F1 for a bit longer but at this rate I wouldn't be surprised if Ferrari are trying to get him out of the door before the season is over.

1 Nico
2 Lewis
3 Ricky
Neither McLaren make it into Q3, both finishing mid field (which makes me sad).
Vettel will have another rubbish weekend.
Chilton will finish near the back.
There will be almost nothing in the media about the Caterham rumours, whilst there will be endless speculation about the driver market. Sky coverage will continue it's obsession with the drivers.
Great stuff. For sure.

F1 driver obsession is a great turn off for me. It's mainly been about the cars and racing for me, the drivers being alsorans with my priorities.2 Lewis

All things being equal which they rarely are, this should be an ideal venue for Hamilton to perform well and I wonder if Herr Vettel will go for his fourth DNF this season...
Who knows and that for me makes it even more interesting.
Used to regularly attend. The last Brit GP I attended was at Brands Hatch which I prefer to Silverstone. If the Kent venue had the same level of development that Silverstone has had, could it be used again? I'd go again if it was reinstated.
The last GP I and my friends attended would have been Silverstone but stuck in the traffic for ages we agreed to turn around and we spent a pleasant day on nearby canals instead.

Stop being obsessive about them then. From now on I shall ignore your comment. Your accusations are both inaccurate and unreal for a realist .. so please .... Shaddup!
Yes, I have a dislike of one or two drivers but, it's not an obsession and merely based on what I see and hear. Nothing will change that. So, lets not kick over that particular Fan Boy anthill ..... yet again as it gets us nowhere.
My obsession has always been about the cars, the circuits and the track action. If my dislike happens to coincide with a driver you may hold in high esteem, tough mammories! Like all here, I have opinions and nothing the likes of you say will change them. Please understand that if you can.
