Spark blocks to be fitted to F1 cars for Austrian GP
Discussion
Just heard on sky sports news that the teams are fitting Spark Blocks to the cars for this weekends GP. reporters words were something along the lines of 'to make the racing more spectacular'.
Haven't watched any F1 for a few years now, but have heard, well seen on my facebook all the complaints, of how boring the new engine regs have made the sound and spectacle of modern F1.
But is the answer really fake sparks??
And there was me thinking rallying was having stupid ideas such as mid stage put stops for tyre changes!

Not for me ... never been bored by F1 ever even during those many years of German driver domination.... parts one (MSC) and two (VET) .... and just maybe, three (ROS)in 2014. If speculation about the uncertainty of the latter statement you still find boring best you stay away.F1 aint for you.

Some of this years racing has been brilliant. I don't like the sound the current F1 cars make but there have been some great battles on track this season. A few sparks seems a bit silly but so long as they don't interfere with the racing, I don't much care.
After a major rethink F1 bosses have just completed a computer aided video of what all the changes will look like in 2016

I do follow a lot of the fan chatter on the internet and forums and you do often see (some) fans come out and say "Bring back V12s, sparks, manual gearboxes, etc". So really the teams are just listening to the fans for once!Haven't watched any F1 for a few years now, but have heard, well seen on my facebook all the complaints, of how boring the new engine regs have made the sound and spectacle of modern F1.
