I went last year, this was the thread I started which had some good tips:

We're in (I think) Turn 12 grandstand. There's visibility of a big screen and a decent, long view. I'm hoping there will be a little bit of room over the top of the fencing for photographs too.
We've ended up with an RV and are booked into an RV site adjacent to the circuit - it's not at all expensive. We're over there for two weeks so there will be a little road tripping and hopefully we'll get to eat a little barbecue food as well.
Really looking forward to it and will try to write up the event as comprehensively as possible in order to help others in the future.

Been previous two years but doubt we'll be back this year as race has been moved forward from the annual business trip that we piggybacked from.
First year sat in the premium grandstands at turn 15, we're were about 3/4 way up the block. Brilliant view from Turn 11 all the way through to the entry of Turn 16. Got to see lots of action as it's through the slower section and there was also big screen right in front of us.
Last year we sat in bleachers at Turn 9 and that was pretty good too, could pretty much see from Turn 6 through to Turn 12. We got on the circuit walk afterwards and enjoyed that, that first hill is steep!
We drove in both years and frankly the parking cost at the circuit is ridiculous ($100 per day) but access in and out was good and didn't take too long either way. Locals open up the fields on the approach roads for about $20-£30 or less - get there early to get good spots. Walking in and around the circuit is easy but it is hilly in places.
Loads of Brits there and as per usual the Yanks are a friendly bunch and the whole thing was well organised - better the 2nd year I think.
Food and beer is steep for US prices (circa $15-$20 for a burger lunch, £8 for a beer)and some places were cash only but it was pretty good quality stuff. The merchandise is a rip-off but that's the same at every race & circuit.
Go and enjoy, i'd do it again in a heartbeat
