Caught the F1 show recorded piece on women in F1 with Susie Wolf last night. Now my wife is a MASSIVE F1 fan so we're sat watching it and I begin thinking about changes that might need to be made to 'accommodate' women drivers - yep you've guessed it, the grin on my face widens and widens and I start to imagine my wifes reactions to some of my possible suggestions. She turns and asks what I'm grinning about - but, knowing what good for me I say 'oh nothing'. But I just can't handle it any longer and start pissing myself laughing. She's all, what what - tell me tell me, so I crumble and suggest that they'll need to start by making the pit area longer and wider to accommodate 'less precise' parking.

I get a pillow in the face and no dinner - life's a lesson....

There is only one reason that there are not many women in racing. It is quite simply that most of them don't have massive egos and think that they can cheat death.

At risk of stating the obvious, none have proven up to the job (in recent history)

Can you imagine the sponsorship available to a woman with talent vs. A man?

We all take the pass out of chilton, but he's still not been beaten by a girl.

Been there and done that!

About 3 years ago there was a "reality" tv show in Dubai called "Heels and Wheels" we had a 2 seat Fun Cup car and one track night we took each "contestant" out for 5 laps. My job was strap the ladies into the car (5 point harness). Of course when they got into the car they crossed their legs and so I couldn't get to the main seatbelt buckle. Asking 20 ladies to open their legs and not get slapped was an interesting night, especially when you know one of the ladies (and so did the wife).....

Hmmm, my husband is crew chief on my car and his favourite job is strapping me in. Not sure if it's because of all the fumbling he appears to have to do or if it's because he likes to strap me in so tightly I can't breathe or talk! biggrin
