The Official Motorsport Rate Of Exchange
Discussion
Much like Al Murray's Rock rate of exchange on Planet rock, I thought this could be interesting.
mainly for this post in the Adrian Newey thread:
Unfortunately to make this rate of exchange work, there needs to be a constant to compare all others to.
I would suggest either 1 Jim Clark is equal to 1 Colin Chapman, or 1 Jim Clark is equal to 1 Adrian Newey.
Any further advances?
Also, please post your own.

One scenario that might play out is a neat swap; Vettel and Newey in exchange for Alonso and a nice bit of Santander wedge.
Now, to me, one Newey is worth more than "a chunk of santander wedge" in such the same way that one Alonso is worth more than one Vettel. One scenario that might play out is a neat swap; Vettel and Newey in exchange for Alonso and a nice bit of Santander wedge.

1 x Mansell Moustache = 1 x Hamilton + 1 x Button Designer Stubbles
I may have to fundamentally take issue with that.Surely 1 Mansell Moustache = the remainder of motor sport hair between 1962 and current day?
Although, I do agree with you.
