red lights out

so why not turning to green anymore? Just the red go out and go

Been like that for years. Apparently after a chat with the drivers they realised that none of them were waiting for the green lights, they just went as the reds turned off!

On a few occasions the red lights went out but the greens failed to come on - so there was confusion.

It was safer just to have the reds go out.

Also, at most circuits there was just one red light and one green light.
