I can't find anything on this, so chances are I'm imagining it, but didn't the FIA introduce the higher noses a while ago because they were concerned about cars wedging underneath other cars? And now the nose has been lowered again because of side impact concerns? I'm almost certain I remember this happening, but I can't find any evidence online that corroborates that memory.
