Well we all know he is on BTSport doing the football, however he is also doing his F121 video blogs, latest of which is with Eddie Jordan.

So why's he doing them? Is it because he is a real fan and is putting something back, or is it part of a campaign to get F1 on BT? Or something else?

Link for Eddie interview (not great quality as over a mobile). http://www.jakehumphreyofficial.com/

It would not surprise me if F1 is VERY high on BT's shopping list in 2018.

That way they can kill UK coverage for F1 in the same way that they are killing off the MotoGP audience (only 180k viewers for the opening round in Qatar).

Where did you get the 180k figures from and secondly what were the numbers for 2013?

Wow quite a drop, however there's a interview with one of the moto gp teams and they were saying it hasn't hit them in sponsorship as the people want to sponsor bikes want hard core fans (those that pay for viewing) not casual fans who watch because it's free.

Combine that with the potential audience being quite low compared to other countries and you can see why motogp took bt's money and can now provide free coverage to a country with potentially bigger viewing numbers.

Gutted at the loss of Eurosport coverage of MotoGP and the commentary team.

ITV4 highlights it will have to be from now on.

it amuses me the amount of people who make statements like yours on public media, why don't you just google search for a streaming website and still watch it?

The standard (or at least volume as 'standard' is in the eye of the beholder) of MotoGP coverage on BT has been far superior to anything we've ever had in the UK before. Audience figures aren't massively relevant provided BT are happy with the numbers that they are seeing. It only becomes an issue if BT feel that there isn't enough interest and cut back on their investment.
