The value of that opening season win

I was prepared to go down and put a bit of money on Rosberg for the title, but then my OCD kicked in and I went through all of the F1 seasons to see how often a win in the opening race has led to the title.

In 31 out of 64 seasons, the winner of the first race went on to win the title. This probably makes sense, but I was rather surprised that it wasn't more than half of the time. When my OCD comes back after a break, I'll probably calculate for 2d races, etc. Or not.
