Just read a very good article on CVC by Joe Saward. For all the talk of budget caps to limit spending, surely the teams would be better to go it alone and not have to pay for CVC's indulgent dividends.

Possibly, but there needs to be an organisation that organises logistics, hospitality, negotiates TV broadcasting and actually runs the races, merchandising etc. The problem the teams cannot agree on anything, Bernie cleverly divides to conquer and nobody really wanted to buy F1 or invest in it for the sums involved a few years ago. Big sports marketing companies have looked but wont work with Bernie CVC nor will the large promoters or entertainment organisations. The politics of F1 and the team owners is the stuff of legend.

the teams should but don't, or can't, sort themselves out. FOTA has recently completely fallen over.
