Did have a look to see if this was covered - looks like it was rumoured http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...

Let's hope the sleeping giant can at least awaken with a quicker and nicer looking car this year smile

Ab livery sadly missing from motorsport for too long. It would be nice to see it back.

I recall from my days studying from my Marketing degree that Martini was one of the case studies in the benefits sponsorship can bring, It completely re-positioned the brand globally.

I've been a lover of this livery since the Brabham and Lancia days.

But I haven't drunk the stuff for 25 years. I'd fortgotton Martini even existed, so maybe it is time for a relaunch.

This mock-up looks lovely....

Hope it looks like that. At least the livery would distract the eye from the silly nose.

They have taken it down now but yesterday onpole.com had a photograph of a replica Martini Williams team shirt.

Edit: sorry, didn't realise the pic was in the twitter link in the OP...

With the obvious title sponsor to be named soon, Williams have another new sponsor as well in Glenworth - http://www.crash.net/f1/news/200228/1/new-sponsor-...

Better times at Williams, money, drivers and good engine package. 2014 looking very good.

What I like about this picture is that it's all about the teams with history: McLaren, Ferrari and Williams. Mercedes get a small showing but the current masters Red Bull are left out, along with fake Lotus - two teams who on recent form deserve to take centre stage far more than McLaren and Williams.

Centre stage goes to the best sellers.

This is great news if it turns out to be correct (and it does look very promising).

It is an 'on car' 'on team clothing' deal costing close to $20 million per season. Not sure it is a Martini Williams M-B naming deal but they will have a great deal of coverage on the team. Fingers crossed the car is better than of late.

Agreed. Now i do realise that first tests are never indicative, but...

Bottas' first timed lap, as in the very first one was faster than the merc's 5th. I suspect that on that very first non install lap, he was miles away from "pushing" anywhere, and so the car must be very comfortable to drive. I took that as a very positive thing, and really hope that williams do well this year. I predicted them for p4 in constructors in the prediction thread, i hope that they do that well or better...
