Would be good to see him staying in F1 but time will tell.

To be honest, I think the only real foundation to any rumours are people hoping that if they wish hard enough it will come true.
The foundation seems to be:1. There's a Ross-shaped hole in the Mclaren management structure.
2. There's a job-shaped hole in the Brawn life structure.

Ah, thanks - bit of a bloated structure? Just the sort of thing RB would have left behind at Mercedes.
Not really, Ross' issue was him adding value and having a clear management structure. This would be clear, who reports to who and what they're in charge of. They'll have to appoint someone...MissChief said:
It's beginning to look like the FIA could use him to write some decent rules that can't be fked up and made mockery of by the teams.
There's nothing really wrong with the new rules and it's the job of the teams to find the best advantage in (and around) any rule. Sure some of the cars that have rolled out aren't what they probably expected at the front but I'm actually more interested in the backs of the new cars - there's going to be some fun stuff taking place back there to create an advantage from the single, central exhaust exit. Excluding Ferrari and Merc. most of the noses are trying to keep last years core nose aero. and then something to comply with the rules stuck on the front.//j17 said:

Whilst I agree with you that the interpretations will make for some interesting times ahead, don't forget that In 2008 Brawn warned about the loopholes allowing an extreme interpretation (double diffuser) for 2009 and I think it was Mark Smith and/or James Allison last year who warned that the low nose interpretations for 2014 wouldn't be pretty. So in other words, whilst I think that RD is playing the long game for Brawn in renaming Neale TP, Brawn would be the best man for the FIA tech role wouldn't he?
