CVC succession plan starts...

rubystone - you know the track record of retailing CEO's moving to run anything other than a supermarket chain, not very successful. If they go for a listing (partial or full) the markets will want assurance that the (new) CEO is fully capable of doing the job. Let's hope whoever it is can improve F1.

Justin King (father of Jordan King) to leave CEO role at Sainsbury's in July this year....
His name's been mentioned a few times in the past. He's a suits man I think, and they will become more influential as the days go by. If they are still looking for a floatation then the likes of King would, I assume, be the type to go for.

The “suits” have been (too) influential in the past, these days investors are looking for “put up or shut up”. That will be the challenge IMO, getting someone with real passion for the sport, financial savvy, AND the vision to create sustainable value.
I would have liked to have seen Adam Parr in the mix. Clearly a very clever coprorate guy but I get the feelling he has passion about the sport. I haven't yet laid my hands on his cartoon book (or perhaps we should term it a "graphic novel"), but it's meant to be very funny.rubystone said:

Maybe his cartoon book is good, but ADAM PARR? Do you want F1 to be "below par"?Gassing Station | Formula 1 | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
