Kamui will be a popular hire.

Can't say I know a fat lot about the other lad

Meet Marcus at Silverstone last year - forget who's backing him but he's a country boy, from a normal family. Nice enough lad. Must have paid a lot of money for the drive.

Pleased that Kobayashi's back.

Guess his signing will also help sell a few more of those new 7's back in Japan.....

So the revolving door policy continues at Caterham.

They're starting to make Marussia look like a class outfit.

Interesting tweet from James Allen

"If we are still at the back at the end of this year we won't carry on" - Tony Fernandes.

What do we think, fighting talk to motivate the troops, or genuine threat?

If you finish out of the top ten two years in a row you loose a big chunk of the centralised funding

I think Tony might regret saying that. Or maybe he's just being refreshingly honest.

Likewise, although what he can do from back there remains to be seen.

I agree, wonderful that an exciting drivers is back but annoying that he (probably) won't have much of a car underneath him.

Unless of course he wants to go all Keichi Tsuchiya and go around sideways instead. That would be acceptable.

If the running order is similar to last year then The targets got to be Bianchi, If he can beat a guy that highly rated in a similar/inferior car then his stock in the paddock will rise massively again. Good to see him back though smile

Tony's a loose cannon at best. He totally lost interest in F1 when he bought QPR and he has very little to do with F1 or Caterham Cars these days. It's better for his business model, so I have no doubt that come the end of the season, he'll be out. And that won't be a loss to anyone.

It's not a picture that could feel anyone would hope of a good season. Badly taken PR shoots, cheap polo team shirt.

Kamui Kobayashi was so eager to return to Formula 1 race action this year that he turned his back on an expanded Ferrari deal and is driving for Caterham for free!
He could have been driving in the World Endurance Series and a F1 sim role but instead decided to drive around at the back of an F1 pack.
I bet we see other drivers getting subbed into the team at various points.

Current F1 drivers are more likely to get picked up by other F1 teams than driving a Ferrari in a GT class that isn't the main focus of attention in it's own series.

There were similar comments about the new McLaren kit.

I never knew shirts were so important to a team's performance. It's that kind of in depth, nuanced knowledge that I'll miss.
Image and "brand" is so important (why do you think all the most successful companies in the world spend so much on it).

A bit of a surprise seeing KK back. How much money does he bring I wonder?

Let’s hope he pulls some great overtaking moves, but will be difficult to do in a Caterham.

He's only bringing in around a million according to Autosport. Other than that, he was willing to drive for free. I wonder if the money Ericsson's bringing in means Caterham can afford to not need two pay drivers and actually get someone in who can pedal!!!
