Jerez Testing 2014
Discussion
Yes, at the gate the basics are about 5€ to get into the concrete stand by the chicane area, or about 10€ for their VIP access to the stand opposite the pits. But, you can see zip from that stand as every team puts a barrier to block sight lines into their garages.
I intend trying to get a paddock hospitality pass this year about 120€ IIRC, but these are not sold at the gate.
In previous years, there has been a watered track test on the Saturday. Given Pirelli's recent concerns, there may conceivably be one of those this year, as there is not much chance of them managing that in Abu Dhabi!

It does, but the teams need plenty of dry testing as well. At Jerez, bowsers just wet the track.
It is not a high tech solution, but drying track conditions are what are needed to test Inters to destruction.
Full wets are not a big problem. It is standing water on tracks like Interlagos that poses the biggest problem when it rains very hard

The last day was a little warmer!
I have been thinking on going to this this year, what the best course of attack!, flights don't seem to go direct?
Imagine a cheap flight to Malaga and hire a car? I managed to hire one for £25 for 5 days... Had to pay £80 for diesel up front though!I have been thinking on going to this this year, what the best course of attack!, flights don't seem to go direct?
Thanks for the info so far, guys.

I'm off to jerez and hiding a car from Malaga to make the drive over.
Can anyone show the best route - quite fancy this scenic route you talk about!
Also this VIP ticket, it's just a grandstand ticket on the main straight really is it?
Anyone have any tips for getting autographs/pics at the circuit?
Thanks!!

Circuit is one of the best to watch F1 cars from as far as getting close to the action. The drive from Mallage is long but the road is bloody quick and a lot of fun, one speed camera near the tunnel at the mid way point. Drink is cheap, Jerez is nice and the girls pretty, whats not to like?

Who are you hiring with? FWIW, RecordGO have always been good to us. They make you prepay fuel though, which fked me over when I hired a diesel van with a massive tank! :haha:Can anyone show the best route - quite fancy this scenic route you talk about!

There are now 5 of us going to this, looking forward to it
Hiring from Firefly via doyouspain.com
€20 odd euros for 6 days hire plus €70 fuel - a freind has used before and no hidden fees thankfully.
I drove I monza last year in my renault trafic to camp at the gp last year (only one overnight stop and a 15 hr drive one day) as the only driver so a 3hr trip should be ok :-)
Hope we can walk around the track a little for some good shots.
