Why the mad dash for a lotus seat
Discussion
It may seem like I'm out to bash lotus here but bare with me.
Lotus have done very well the past few years but can they confidently carry it through to 2014? There wunderkind Alison has left for richer pastures and the family coffers are creaking in turmoil. All the talk is centred around who will get the pivotal lotus seat when really any of the mid placed teams has at least as good a chance of success next year. Shouldn't we really be just as interested in who gets the Findia/Sauba drives?

Because they have done well this year. However past performance is no guarantee of future performance as pension providers et al tell us.
I wonder whether they will actually be around next year. After all they are going to start next year by having to pay Kimi his salary for this season and who else has not been paid? So the prize winnings could go in paying off this years bills, so where does the money for next season come from?
